Western Swing Large Band |

Formed back in 1984 by Don Burnham, Lost Weekend is an eleven piece western swing large band - at times featuring three horns, twin fiddles, full rhythm section with steel, lead, and rhythm guitars, as well as piano, drums, bass, and vocals. One critic tagged The Lost Weekend lineup: "A Who´s Who of Bay Area Country-Western and Jazz." In the years since Don co-founded the band along with veteran bassist Bing Nathan, reed virtuoso Jim Rothermel, and pedal steel guitar great, Bobby Black, the group has continuously been in demand not only as a dance band, but also as a concert attraction. Some folks say that we have the kind of synergy that makes our sound appear to be greater than the sum of it's parts, but don't take my word for it. You can check us out on my Video Page. Also, you might want to give a listen to the NPR Review (below) of our "Swingin´ Out West" CD.
