I gave Pat his first guitar lessons over thirty years ago and he's still going strong! In addition to guitar, Pat plays the hammered dulcimer, a medieval Irish percussion stringed instrument that predates the piano. He has studied both classical and jazz guitar (under the great Joe Pass), and performed throughout the Bay Area on both guitar and hammered dulcimer. He also played for the King and Queen of Nepal by the time he was 23. In 2000 Pat produced and recorded his first hammered dulcimer CD, entitled Pat Kelley with Mark Holzinger. The CD is still available upon request through Pat's web site. These days we perform for weddings and private parties throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, either as a hammered dulcimer-guitar duo or as a jazz guitar duo.
