Another thing I have a lot of fun with is a "Hot Club" inspired duo with my good friend, internationally acclaimed bassist, Simon Planting. Simon is originally from Amsterdam and has quite a following due to his association with Angelo Debarre, and the Robin Nolin Trio to name a couple. We have been playing together for quite a while now and have a real blast leaning into each other's accompaniment. Not only do we do traditional Django Reinhardt style "gypsy jazz", but we incorporate that style into our original material as well as some covers of contemporary songs.
